Ceramic designer with a passion for fire!

My passion for clay was brought about by a passionate secondary school teacher. She set alight my heart with a love for ceramics, so that I had no other choice but to follow my heart. I watched her, full of wonder, creating a beautiful figure out of a block of clay. That plasticity is almost magical.

To discover more about the world of ceramics, I studied Ceramics at Sint-Lucas in Antwerp. After being taught the possible ways of working, I was most interested in molding.

After my studies, I experienced the expected big nothing, and because of practical matters no new designs were made. But the love for ceramics stayed and was encouraged by a friend who was just as passionate and creative. Passion prevailed and I started my own workshop * Fou de Feu * in January 2009.

Fou de Feu (crazy about fire); the fire of the ceramics oven, but most of all the fire of passion.
